a US diplomat estimated that myanmar lost 100,000 of its people. then an earthquake devastated china and took at least 32,000 people with it. 132,000 gone. just like that...

so i decided that i really need to put my tax refund money where my big fat mouth is and start to help to save the world. well, help a little part of asia at least. i donated to care for its myanmar efforts and to doctors without borders for its china efforts. i know nothing replaces actually volunteering in the field, and i do wish i could provide more tangible and useful help. and i hope more of my contribution will go toward relief efforts than admin fees. but hopefully it's true that every little bit helps...
